The server
Is Athena Adventure a modded server?
Yes, but Vanilla+: the game stays true to Minecraft, and mods enrich it (biomes, structures, interfaces, optimization) without turning it into something else. Our own launcher installs everything in one click.
Is it free?
Yes. You only need a Minecraft Java account. Nothing ever sold on the server will give an in-game advantage: cosmetics only.
Which Minecraft version do I need?
Minecraft Java 26.1.2 with NeoForge. The Athena launcher installs everything you need, at the right version.
Is my PC powerful enough?
Athena Optimization tunes the game for your machine on first launch and adjusts it live. Allocate 4 to 6 GB of memory to the game.
How do I join the server?
Download the Athena launcher from the Play page, sign in with your Microsoft account, then click Play: the game connects you directly.
Is the server French-speaking?
Yes, the community speaks French, and the game, website and wiki are also available in English.
Hardware and performance
What hardware do I need?
Athena Optimization adapts quality to your PC, but a modpack is still more demanding than plain Minecraft. Our guidelines:

The launcher preselects the recommended memory for your PC; you can change it in Optimization › Memory given to the game. Beyond 8 GB, the game doesn't get faster.
The game is lagging, what can I do?
Open Esc › Optimization › Diagnostics: the “Limited by” line tells you whether it's the graphics card, the processor or another program (a stream, for example). You can also run the calibration again. Everything is explained on the wiki.
