The Athena launcher
Our own launcher, made for Athena. It installs the game and every mod, keeps them up to date on its own and sends you to the server in one click.
Everything it does for you
One-click install
Minecraft, NeoForge and the pack's mods, at the right version. Nothing to copy, nothing to configure.
Always up to date
The pack and the launcher update themselves. You're told as soon as something new arrives.
The server at the press of a button
Play connects you directly, even if the server was asleep: it wakes up as you arrive.
Your friends and the news
See who's in game, read the latest news and the photo of the week without starting Minecraft.
Tuned for your PC
It analyses your computer, picks the memory to give the game and lets you turn off the heaviest mods.
Repair, roll back
A broken file? It checks everything and downloads it again. A version causes trouble? Go back to the previous one, your worlds stay intact.
The launcher, step by step
From installing to repairing, everything you need to know to make the most of it.
Download the installer, run it, and the launcher opens on its own. On first start, it shows you the terms of use to accept, then offers to install the game.

One click on Play starts Minecraft and connects you straight to the server, even if it was asleep. The home screen also shows the latest post, the server status and your friends in game.
When a new version of the pack comes out, the Play button becomes Update. The launcher only downloads the files that changed, then hands back control.
Turn on desktop notifications (Settings › General) to be told even with the launcher minimized.
The Optimization screen analyses your PC and recommends how much memory to give the game. Adjust it with the slider, or go back to the recommended value.
More isn't always better: too much memory can cause stutters.
In Settings › Game, optional mods turn off in one click: Distant Horizons and shaders are the heaviest. You can still join the servers without them.
An update giving you trouble? Still in Settings › Game, pick an earlier version of the pack and install it. Your worlds are not touched.
In Settings › Advanced, Check and repair verifies every file and re-downloads anything damaged. Move… sends the whole game to another folder or drive.
