Somewhere beyond the world you know, a town lies frozen in a night that never ends. Fog rises up to the windows, lanterns flicker for no reason, and every minute the bell of Saint-Ombre church tolls once, rolling through the alleys.
Welcome to Sombrebourg, the first event of season 7.

A whole town to search
Sombrebourg was built for the occasion, in a world of its own: a walled town surrounded by a dead forest, with its great square, its church and bell tower, its barracks, its tavern, its graveyard and alleys so narrow the roofs almost touch.
No two houses are alike, and many are hiding something. A trapdoor under the floor leading down to the cellar. A ladder that keeps going up to the attic. A wall of books that swings open when you pull the right volumes. And behind the church altar, a slab that opens onto the crypt… The nimblest will travel across the rooftops, or climb the bell tower, the highest point in town.
The respite, then the Tide
The game runs in 17-minute rounds.
The respite
Rush to search the houses, grab weapons, armour, potions and amulets, and find a place to hold out.
The Tide of the Dead
The bell tolls three times and the dead come out. Every three minutes the Tide rises a level: new monsters arrive, more numerous, more dangerous.
The town is reborn
The monsters vanish, doors are rebuilt, chests refilled and secret passages closed. The loot changes every round.
Zombies, skeletons, spiders, witches, vindicators… and more. Ghosts haunt the houses, each with a weakness to discover. The Throat-cutter, small and fast, can kill an unarmoured player in a single blow: if you hear a heartbeat, it’s close. And midway through the Tide, a boss rises in front of the church: the Harvest Reaper or the White Lady, drawn at random each round.
Watch the doors too: monsters end up breaking them down. A wooden door won’t hold for long, the bunker’s armoured door much longer.
The town’s rules
- We play together: players can’t hurt each other. Only monsters deal damage.
- Nothing can be built or broken: you defend yourself with what you find. Torches from chests light a street for a few minutes, and a few spare doors let you seal an entrance.
- When you die, your gear drops to the ground and glows through walls. Anyone can pick it up: go and get it back, or let your friends bring it to you. You come back in a quiet street, protected for 30 seconds.
- Your survival adventure is safe: Sombrebourg has its own inventory, nothing you own on the main server is at stake.
Points, advancements and relics
Every monster you take down earns points, and so does every round you survive to the end. The leaderboard shows in the player list (Tab key) and carries over from one evening to the next. Eleven Sombrebourg advancements also await the most curious: climbing the bell tower, finding a secret passage, going down into the crypt…
And for those who stand out, two relics of Saint-Ombre are up for grabs: the Lantern and the Bell. They can’t be bought. Each one is engraved with your name, its number and the words “Halloween 2026”, and will follow you into every season to come.
Sombrebourg stays open until November 30. Announcements for the evenings go through the Discord. Come with friends, fill your pockets with amulets, and above all: never stay alone in an alley when the bell tolls.
